Basic Views
Introduction
Depending on the current activity, work planners require a wide variety of combinations of display switching, layer switching and automatic dimensioning and labeling.
Planners and draftsmen must also create different storages for plans depending on the required task (site plan, furniture and kitchen plan, input plan, etc.): Basic view plan
Basic views are used for this purpose, as they save the above-mentioned settings individually and separately.
Basic information
Basic views are listed in the building navigation. Each floor has its own "Basic Views" sub-branch by default.
To create a new basic view, right-click on the "Basic Views" branch in the building navigation and then click "New Basic View" in the context menu.
Basic views can save the following settings separately from "Floor plan" and other "basic views":
Image section
Selection of the layer circuit (including layer groups)
Display switching (including settings for automatic dimensioning and labeling)
If the checkboxes are set, the settings used are saved in the current basic view.
Furthermore, each base view has its own scale, which controls the size of the drawing elements to be displayed. This behavior is identical to the scale of a view window in the planning program. Therefore, the scale of the individual layers is ignored in the base view. The "Floor Plan" model area continues to use the scale settings of the layer switching.
Basic views can be edited via their context menu. To do so, right-click on the respective basic view in the building navigation. The following options are now available:
" New basic view ": Create new or additional basic views
" Edit ": Calls the editing dialog of the current basic view
" Overwrite with current display and settings ": The current basic view is overwritten with the current settings ["1-7-1 Display switching" and "04-1 Layer switching"] from the model area.
" Recalculate dimensions and labels ": Manually trigger the recalculation of automatically generated dimensions and labels from the display circuit.
" Delete ": Delete the current basic view including all drawing elements belonging to this basic view.
Extension of the display circuit
In order to be able to show or hide drawing elements from other basic views or from the floor plan in a basic view, there are two entries in the display circuit.
Using the "Basic view" checkbox and input field, basic views or the drawing elements of the floor plan can be displayed in the current basic view. The same applies to the display of basic views in the "Floor plan" model area.
First, the checkbox is selected. Then, by clicking the "Change Settings" button, you can open the "Basic Views for Displaying Plan Elements" dialog. In this dialog, you can activate the basic views to be displayed. The activated basic views are also displayed as a comma-separated list in the preceding text field for your convenience.
The same methodology is applied to displaying the floor views from other floors. For this purpose, the list of floors ("other floors, floor views") has been expanded using the system described above.
Please note that to display drawing elements from other basic views, the checkboxes for "Lines, Circles, Hatches, .." and, if applicable, "Dimensions, Text, .." must also be activated. Likewise, the corresponding layers must be set to visible in the layer configuration.
Saving a basic view
If you are in a basic view and have changed something in the layers or the display, you will be asked explicitly whether you want to save the changes when you change the basic view.
Changes can be made in two ways:
First, changes to the current base view can be made in the graphics area. This is done by changing the display mode and/or the settings in the layer dialog. If you want to save these changes to the current base view, confirm the prompt with " Screen overwrites base view ." The program now saves the current settings from the screen to the base view.
The second way to make changes to the current basic view is via the context menu in the building navigation. To do so, right-click on the current basic view and then select "Edit." If you now change settings (display mode and/or layer dialog) in the "Basic View" dialog and exit the dialog with " OK ," select " Basic view overwrites screen " in the subsequent prompt. This overwrites the outdated situation in the graphics area with the new, just-adjusted basic view settings.
