Manage Settings - Favourties
Simply saving any number of settings makes your work considerably easier. You can also increase speed and convenience by defining certain frequently used settings as favorites. These favorites are then directly accessible from the icon bar.
If you want to add a setting as a favorite, select it in the list and click 'Favorites'. A dialog box with various options will open.
Up to nine favorites can be set for each function (e.g., the pins). The number entered in the first line of the dialog box determines the number of the respective favorite. This also influences the order of the favorites in the icon bar. If you select a favorite number that has already been used to set the current function, the old favorite will be replaced.
The next option lets you specify whether the function's dialog box should open when you call up the favorite. For example, if I set a 4x4cm tenon that I want to use exactly as it is every time, I don't always need the entire tenon dialog box. In such a case, you select the 'without dialog box' option. When you call up this favorite, no dialog box opens; instead, you can enter tenons directly.
Since some functions (e.g., the tenon) have multiple buttons in the dialog box that allow you to choose whether to enter individual tenons or tenons in groups, a conflict arises if the dialog box never opens. For this reason, you can also preset this. Once you select the 'without dialog box' option, the buttons in the lower half of the dialog box become active. You then press the button that you want to use when using the favorite.
The last option determines how favorites are displayed in the toolbar. A call to the toolbar is created for each favorite. This can be either a flyout or an icon. The 'Flyout' option creates a drop-down menu that opens when you click on the main icon for the function. The 'Icon' option creates a separate icon in the toolbar with the favorite's number in the lower right corner.
Favorites 1 and 2 as icons and favorites 3 and 4 as flyouts.
Once you've created favorites, they'll also appear in the settings list in the management dialog box. Each favorite will have a small number (the favorite's number) in a small yellow box.
