Ceiling Finishing
This menu contains the functions for post-processing the ceiling fields.
Ceiling processing -- Replace line
Individual lines of a slab field can be graphically replaced with a new line using the crosshairs. The start and end points of the existing line are retained. All graphical and temporary aids are available for defining the points of the new line. The contour change is reflected in all layers of the slab field. Slab bodies created with the slab field automatically adapt to the new contour.
Ceiling processing -- push line
In this dialog box, the contour of a ceiling section can be enlarged or reduced by any value. Negative values reduce the ceiling contour. The contour lines are shifted parallel to the original line. Contour areas adjacent to a changed line are automatically adjusted to the new contour situation. By entering a value greater than 0.00 under 'Displacement' and using the 'Entire Contour' function, all lines of the selected ceiling section are shifted by the desired amount. Using the 'Select' function, the contour line to be moved can be selected with the crosshairs. If the displacement value is set to 0.00, any contour line can be selected with the crosshairs and moved graphically or using the temporary functions. Since the reference polygon was changed with this function, the change is also transferred to all layer contours.
Ceiling processing -- Move point
This function allows you to reposition individual corner points of a ceiling section contour. After selecting the corner point to be moved, the new position can be defined graphically or using the temporary functions. The ceiling contour, including all layers, and the contour lines converging at the moved corner point are automatically adjusted to the new contour situation.
Ceiling processing -- Delete point
This function deletes individual points from a ceiling contour. After deletion, the program creates a new partial line over the contour point located before and after the deleted point and closes the contour again. The resulting new ceiling contour is modified in all layers.
Ceiling finishing - execution
This function allows you to change the design of existing ceiling panels. Multiple ceiling panels can be selected as long as they have the same design.
The new design may have different layer thicknesses, etc., making the selected ceiling thicker or thinner. Therefore, it is necessary to determine which height level of the ceiling design to be changed should be retained. Please also refer to the Ceiling - Settings chapter for more information.
Ceiling processing - heights
In this dialog box, the elevation of a ceiling section in the building can be changed. Enter the new height from the top edge of the soffit, which can be referenced to the bottom edge of the current floor or the absolute zero point in the building.
By changing the height, all components, slab bodies and openings of this ceiling field are automatically shifted by the difference.
Ceiling processing - delete
After graphically selecting a ceiling section with the mouse, it is deleted. The bars and slabs are also deleted, if applicable.
