Editing Material Lists - Extras - Planing
This function can be used to create additional planes. All planes can then be output as an editing note in the 'Description / Title' field.
In the 'Create edits' section, you will find the inputs to create planes on the rods in the selected lines. This means that these are entered as processing and are therefore also included in the measurement values of this timber list. The planes can be produced with the following options:
Bar side: The specified sides of the rods are planed.
Length: Planing is carried out along this length along the bar axis. If the length 0.0 is entered, the entire rod length is planed. If the planing length is longer than the length of the rod, only the length of the rod is charged.
Overwrite existing planing surfaces: It is set whether all other planes on these bars should be deleted or retained. It is not checked whether a rod is completely planed several times, for example.
In the 'Entering edits in the description' section, it is decided whether the edits of these rods should be entered in the descriptions with a corresponding abbreviation. If there are already descriptions of the same edits, they will be deleted. At the moment, only planing is entered.
Planing: The instructions for planing are entered in the description as follows: [ ] = Edits: Hx: H1, H2, H3, H4 = planing one-, two-, three-, four-sided [Hx:1.20] Planing to length 1.20, [Hx:L] = planing along the entire length
Editing Material Lists - Extras - Ordering
The Ordering function is used to assign a different identification number, order number and price to the entries in a list as conveniently as possible. For this purpose, all lines of a list are combined according to their identification numbers. The entry of prices in this form is particularly adapted to the assignment of daily prices, for which it does not make sense to maintain master data.
Example: In a wood list, there are members with 'S10' and 'glulam'. Due to the division into different sequence numbers and roof areas, there are a total of 40 lines in the timber list. Now a prize is to be awarded for 'S10' and 'BSH'. In the ordering function, only the lines for S10 and BSH are displayed and you can enter the prices in these few lines. When the function is terminated, these are distributed accordingly to all rows in the list.
It is also possible to convert all 'S10' into 'BSH' with a function call and a few inputs.
In the case of record lists, the records are grouped together not only according to the identification number, but also according to thickness. So if you have OSB 13 mm and OSB 16 mm in a list, they are displayed in different lines in the ordering system. So you don't have to create all thicknesses in the component catalog for each sheet material in order to manage the prices, especially since these are often daily prices. It is much easier to enter the current prices in the ordering system.
Editing Material Lists - Extras - Length Grades
The Length Levels function can be used to create a further differentiation of the groups in the ordering system. Length levels are entered for the order numbers. In the ordering system, a different price can then be entered for each length level of this order number.
Example: S10 up to a length of 8 m should have a price of 210 euros, from 8 m to 12 m of 230 euros and over 12 m of 240 euros. In the length levels, you now create the length level 'up to 8 m' and ' up to 12 m' for the order number 'S10'. If you now select the Ordering function in a timber list, three lines are displayed for S10: up to 8m, up to 12 m and longer. For each of the displayed groups, the corresponding price is now entered and finally automatically distributed to the appropriate rows by the function.
Edit Material Lists - Tools - Restore Original Length
With the function 'Extras - Length Surcharges' you can already give length surcharges during the processing of the wood lists, instead of only at the output. Since the new length is stored in the database, you can no longer see the original length. With the function 'Restore original length' you can undo the length surcharge. This function restores the original length of the selected lines.
Editing Material Lists - Extras - Length Surcharges
When outputting a wood list, you can give length surcharges that should only be taken into account for the individual printout. The lengths in the wood list will retain the original length. With the function 'Extras -- Length Surcharges' you can calculate the length surcharges and a length rounding already when processing the timber lists. The new length of the rods is then stored in the database. The original length can be restored using the 'Tools -- Restore Original Length' function.
In the dialog box for the length surcharges, you can enter length surcharges for the different cutting classes (order numbers) and within a cutting class for different bar types.
Edit Material Lists - Extras - Formwork Storage Lengths
With this function, all or a selection of components in the current material list can be extended to the next possible storage length. Only bearing lengths that are marked as available with the switch in the first column are used.
The application only makes sense for components that are actually manufactured from one bearing length. If a bearing length is broken down into several components, it does not make sense to extend each of these parts to the full bearing length. But here, too, it is possible to determine the exact material consumption in many cases. Example:
- Along the aisle there are 1 m long boards.
- Since a storage length of 4.2 m is used, I get 4 pieces of this verge formwork from one storage length.
- The cut of 0.2 m is converted to the 4 pieces, i.e. 0.05 m per piece.
- Before assigning the storage lengths, create a storage length of 1.05 m so that you get the right proportion of waste for each verge board.
- Alternatively, each of the paving formwork boards can of course be extended by 0.05 m by post-processing the 'Length' column.
For the extended components, the actual quantity consumed is then displayed in the material list. If it is a list of timber (formwork of the component type rod), the length can be evaluated. If it is a panel list (formwork of the component type panel), the panel area can be evaluated.
In the upper part of the dialog box, the storage lengths can be entered and managed. In the droplist above, you can select all identification numbers for which storage lengths have already been created. With the browser button next to it, you can also select new identification numbers for storage lengths. Below in the list, the storage lengths of the identification number are listed, and in the first column, use the switch to set the storage lengths that are currently available.
