Storage in documents
For output on paper, the data from the construction data program is generally stored in documents. These can be so-called RTF files, odt files, PDF files or WinWord documents. By storing it in documents, further functions of word processing can be used and the currently generated output (which parts were selected, which prices were used) is archived in a document. This is particularly important because more and more documents are sent via email or directly to faxes and therefore there is no paper printout.
Note: Documents that have been created in the word processor by 'Save As' or in Explorer by copying, or whose names have been changed, cannot be managed by the construction data program. However, they are displayed in the project management under 'Documents'.
Dialog for filing in documents
In addition to many specific options, the following elements in the dialog boxes are the same for all outputs:
Document number: Two characters can be entered for the document number. Of the three available characters, the first character for the documents is set in the 'Tools - Settings' function. A character can be specified for each document type. In the list under the document number, only the relevant documents are displayed for each output type. Only when a valid document number has been entered can the 'Output' function be triggered.
Path display: The top display shows the current path and the full document name.
Document template: A document template can be used for filing. These can be changed and supplemented with the switch 'Set up page'.
Sender: With this setting, the address that has been selected in the address root for 'My Address' can be written to the repository as the sender.
Recipient: The client, architect, supplier or subcontractor can be entered as recipients. The client and architect have already been specified in the project information. The specific supplier or subcontractor can be selected under 'Supplier / Subcontractor'.
Pre / Post Text: For material lists, this field can be used to turn on the front text or the second text or both. The pretext and the posttext can be entered with the respective button in the main mask.
Output: The Output function creates a document according to the settings and automatically calls the corresponding word processor with this document.
