Corbel Construction

In the purlin input you can select settings for rafter roof constructions. You can modify or create these settings using the browser button at the right end of the drop-down list.

Using the selection list at the top of the dialog box and the icons to its right, settings can be saved under any name or deleted again. These setting names will then also appear in the drop-down list of the purlin input.

Depending on the setting of the construction type, you can select either a corbel construction or an abutment construction. The following settings are possible for the corbel construction:

Construction type: Here you select whether you want to configure a corbel construction or the bearing construction. Depending on this setting the subsequent fields in the dialog box will change.

Corbel type: There are four different corbel types, which can be distinguished using the reference illustration.

Ident number: The material of the corbel is determined by the identification number. Using the button at the end of the field, you can navigate to the database and select a material.

Corbel length: Length of the corbel measured along the roof pitch.

Corbel height: Height of the corbels in the side view of the rafter.

Corbel notch: Depending on the corbel type, a corbel notch can be entered. This is the dimension by which the corbel penetrates the rafter.

Number of drillings: The corbels can be predrilled automatically with the rafter. Any number of drillings can be entered here. The drillings are distributed evenly along the length of the corbel.

Drill diameter corbel: Diameter of the drilling in the corbels.

Drill diameter rafter: Diameter of the drillings in the rafter.

Countersink diameter: A countersink can be created on the top side of the rafters at the same time. If the diameter is 0.000 no countersink is created. If the diameter is greater than 0.000 it will be created.

Depth of countersink: If the depth of the countersink is entered as 0.000 no countersink is created. If the depth is greater than 0.000 it will be created.
