Corbel Construction

In the purlin input, you can select settings for rafter roof constructions. These settings can be modified or created via the browser button at the right end of the drop-down list.

Using the selection list at the top of the dialog box and the icons to its right, settings can be saved under any name or deleted again. These setting names will then also appear in the purlin input drop-down list.

Depending on the construction type setting, you can configure either a corbel construction or an abutment construction. For the corbel construction, the following settings are possible:

Construction type: Here you choose whether to configure a corbel construction or the abutment construction. Depending on this setting, the subsequent fields in the dialog box change.

Corbel type: There are four different corbel types, which can be distinguished using the reference image.

ID number: The ID number determines the material of the corbels. Using the switch at the end of the field, you can navigate to the database and select a material.

Corbel length: Length of the corbel measured along the roof pitch.

Corbel height: Height of the corbels in the side view of the rafters.

Corbel cut: Depending on the corbel type, a corbel cut can be entered. This is the dimension by which the corbel penetrates into the rafters.

Number of holes: The corbels can be pre-drilled together with the rafter automatically. Any number of holes can be entered here. The holes are distributed evenly along the length of the corbel.

Corbel hole diameter: Diameter of the hole in the corbels.

Rafter hole diameter: Diameter of the holes in the rafter.

Countersink diameter: A countersink can be created simultaneously on the top face of the rafters. If the diameter is 0.000 no countersink will be created. A diameter greater than 0.000 will create it.

Countersink depth: If the countersink depth is entered as 0.000 no countersink will be created. A depth greater than 0.000 will create it.
