Roof Components - Move Rafters
The 'Move rafters' function allows one or more rafters to be subsequently shifted parallel to the eave.
The desired rafters are selected graphically with the mouse. The right mouse button ends the selection and the reference point for the displacement is queried. After selecting the reference point, the target point can be specified. The principle of the displacement is that the chosen reference point is placed at the chosen target point. If multiple components were selected, the distances and relative positions of the components to each other are preserved at the target point. After selecting the target point, a dialog box appears displaying the relative distance between the reference and target points. There is an option here to correct the displacement.
All known graphical and temporary helper functions are available for defining the reference point and the target point.
If you want to move rafters by a specific measure and the rafters are exactly horizontal or vertical on the screen, the simplest procedure is as follows: after selecting the rafters, choose any reference point. For the target point, press the arrow key on the keyboard corresponding to the direction in which the rafters should be moved. You can then enter the distance directly. In the dialog box, which once again displays the distance between the reference and target points, you can then click 'OK' directly.
