Roof Components - Move Rafters

The "shift rafter" function allows one or more rafters to be moved afterwards parallel to the eave.

The desired rafters are selected graphically with the mouse. The right mouse button ends the selection and the reference point for the shift is requested. After choosing the reference point, the target point can be specified. The principle of the shift is that the chosen reference point is set to the chosen target point. If multiple components were selected, the distance and position of the components relative to each other are preserved at the target point. After selecting the target point, a dialog box is displayed showing the relative distance between reference point and target point. There is an option here to correct the shift.

All known graphical and temporary helper functions are available for defining the reference point and the target point.

If you want to move rafters by a specific distance and the rafters are exactly horizontal or vertical on the screen, the simplest procedure is as follows: after selecting the rafters choose any reference point. For the target point press the arrow key on the keyboard corresponding to the direction in which the rafters should be moved. You can then enter the distance directly. In the dialog box, which again displays the distance between reference point and target point, you can then click "Ok" directly.
