Roof Components - Clamps from Profile
The "Purlins from Profile" function allows purlins and collar beams to be adopted from the profiles. The program thereby transfers the cross-sections, the height position and the connection information from the profile of the affected roof surfaces.
There are several functions for the placement of the purlins:
2 roof surfaces: With this function you select the two roof surfaces between which the purlins/collar beams are to be generated. Then select the area of the rafters that should receive the purlins/collar beams.
1 roof surface: With this function you select the roof surface for which the purlins/collar beams are to be generated. Then you also select the area of the rafters at which the purlins/collar beams will be created. Finally, you select a line at which the purlins/collar beams should terminate and specify a distance to it.
Ridge-valley rafters: With this function you select one or two ridge or valley rafters. If two ridge or valley rafters are selected, they must be exactly opposite each other. In that case both are connected by purlins/collar beams. If the ridge or valley rafters are not exactly opposite, no purlins/collar beams will be generated. If the selection of ridge/valley rafters is ended after the first ridge or valley rafter, you select a line at which the purlins/collar beams should terminate.
