Dormer Purlins
Using the purlin input function, you enter the wall plates, ridge purlins and, if applicable, intermediate purlins. If the current dormer does not contain a hipped surface, the corresponding area of the dialog box is disabled.
With the selection list at the top of the dialog box you can choose existing settings. Using the disk icon you can save the current setting under the same name or a new name. Via the management icon you can create new settings, also by adopting existing settings, or modify or delete existing settings. See 'Save settings' in the 'General Help' manual.
Entering purlins is very straightforward by selecting a setting from the standard purlin input. If you do not yet have any settings, you can also create them from here. To do so, click in the selection list and choose the option 'New Setting'. The standard purlin input (sill/intermediate purlin or ridge purlin) then opens, you enter your values and save the setting under the desired name.
For connecting the purlins to the main roof components, you can optionally set a cut, tenon or an overlapped joint (T-joint end plate).
