Assign Tiles

The function 'Battens/Tiles - Assign' assigns a tile covering and a batten setting to a selected set of roof surfaces. This assignment overwrites the settings present in the roof surfaces. Immediately afterwards, the distribution of battens and the tile layout for the selected roof surfaces are calculated.

Batting setting: One of the existing batten settings can be selected. In addition, the option '(from roof surface specification)' can be chosen: the batten setting already present in the roof surface specification remains unchanged. This is used when only the tile covering is to be changed. The option '(without battens)' allows existing battens to be removed from roof surfaces. Using the browse button opens the currently selected batten setting; the dialog Battens / Tiles - Settings - Battens appears. If the changes made there are confirmed only with OK, the central batten settings are not modified; instead, the changes apply only to the current assignments.

Tile setting: One of the existing tile coverings can be selected. The two auxiliary images show the principal layouts. In addition, the option '(from roof surface specification)' can be chosen: the tile covering already present in the roof surface specification remains unchanged. This is used when only the batten setting is to be changed. The option '(without tiles)' allows existing tiles to be removed from roof surfaces. Using the browse button opens the currently selected tile covering; the dialog Battens / Tiles - Settings - Tile Covering appears. If the changes made there are confirmed only with OK, the central tile coverings are not modified; instead, the changes apply only to the current assignments.

Assignments can be made to one or to multiple roof surfaces simultaneously. The following function calls are available for this purpose:

All roof surfaces: All roof surfaces of the current building are selected.

Building contour: All roof surfaces of the subsequently selected building contours are assigned.

Roof surfaces: Afterwards, the desired roof surfaces can be selected individually. Multiple surfaces can also be assigned simultaneously.
