Tile Division Points
In this function, a "division point for tile layout" can be set for each roof surface to divide the tiles across the width (along the eaves). These division points have the highest priority for tile allocation. If such a division point exists on a roof surface, the tiling layout originates from that point.
A division point allows the tile layout to be oriented at any arbitrary location, such as the edge of an opening or a dormer wall. This point actually defines a snapping line (a line along which the tiles are placed); from the plan view it runs through the division point and perpendicular to the eaves. Tiles to the right of this line abut the line with their left edge. For interlocking tiles this therefore corresponds to the outer edge of the interlock, which will later no longer be visible. If the right edge of a tile is to be defined, the division point must be shifted to the left by the interlock width (typically approx. 0.03 m, value from the component catalog, tile model).
When the function is invoked, all existing division points are displayed in the roof surfaces as red dotted lines. Thereafter, the roof surface and the division point for that roof surface are alternately requested until the function is terminated with the right mouse button.
Since each roof surface can have only one division point, it is automatically deleted when a new point is entered. Likewise, all division points are deleted when the roof layout is recalculated.
