Arbitrary Number of Reference Points

Labels - Any number of reference points

Until now, labels, whether single-line or multiline, could only reference a single reference point. With version 25.01 this concept has been fundamentally revised. Manually created labels can now have any number of reference points.

The functions for creating single-line and multiline labels and the associated workflows have essentially remained unchanged. However, two options have been added to the corresponding dialogs:

  • 'Position (any number of reference points)'

  • 'Align (any number of reference points)'

Subsequently, any number of reference points can be selected for these two options. The options 'Position (one reference point)' and 'Align (one reference point)' continue to correspond to the known methods and remain unchanged.

For easier handling of labels that have already been inserted, the label context menu has been expanded. The following functions have been added:

  • 'Move (label)'

  • 'Insert reference point'

  • 'Move reference point'

  • 'Delete reference point'

  • 'Convert'

The functions 'Insert/Move/Delete reference point' can be applied to labels with a single reference point as well as to labels with multiple reference points. If the last reference point of a label is deleted, the label is automatically converted into a text.

With the new ability to generate any number of reference points for a label, complex plans or demanding details can now be labeled and designed simply, quickly and clearly. The expansion of the context menu enables intuitive handling and uncomplicated adjustment of existing labels.
