Stud layer

For the positioning of certain components, relationships between the components are used. The classic post spacing of 0.625 m comes from halving the panel width of 1.25 m. Typically, a post should be located at every panel joint and one in between, which results in a spacing of 0.625 m. The posts are placed in exactly the same way:

  • In the input of 2.3 Stud layer a reference sheathing is selected (see above: 4: OSB_Layer:2) and thereby a distribution stud is created at every joint of the OSB panel from layer 2.

  • In addition, the number of field studs can be entered, in most cases one. In the example above this is done via a user variable. The field studs are distributed evenly between the distribution studs.

Contrary to the first versions of the HRB module, members can now reference a sheathing that in turn references another sheathing!
