Windows and Doors
There are dedicated settings for windows and doors that allow you to shift layer edges with offsets as well as define and place mullions and transoms around the opening. For each opening type you can define any number of settings. Which setting is actually used for a specific window is selected when entering the window in the floor plan. There is, in the subdialog 'Information / Systems' the field 'HRB -- Type' and there you choose the settings to be used. These can also be multiple!
Why multiple settings for an opening?
Fundamentally, two workflows are conceivable and possible for openings:
One setting contains all the information required for the complete replacement / construction of the opening. If you have different situations, you create multiple settings that are each complete. In the opening input you then select a 'HRB -- Type' .
One setting contains only a part of the overall construction at the opening; multiple settings together define the overall construction. In this case you select several 'HRB -- Types' in the opening input, which together form the overall construction. This is the approach recommended by Dietrich's and implemented in the current sample file 'A_Dietrichs_HRB14' .
