Roof Assistant - Ridge and Valley Area

In this dialog box area, you configure the settings for ridge and valley rafters or valley purlins. The drop-down lists provide access to the corresponding settings dialog boxes (ridge rafters, valley rafters, valley purlins). For the valley area, you set either a valley rafter or a valley purlin. Both at the same time is not possible, as this would create a conflict when generating the members.

A particular feature is the settings for priority order. There is one priority order for the ridge rafters and one priority order for the valley area. The ridge and valley lines always belong to two roof surfaces and the preprocessor files are assigned to the roof surfaces. From which roof surface should the program take the setting for the ridge or valley? This is where the priority order comes into play. The program always takes the preprocessor file with the higher priority (= smaller number).

Example: We have a main roof with valley lines and a dormer on it. The main roof surface should receive valley rafters and the dormer valley purlins. The preprocessor file for the main roof surface receives, for example, the priority "5" and the setting for the valley rafter. Then the preprocessor file for the dormer must receive a higher priority, for example "3", and the setting for the valley purlin.
