Roof Assistant - Assignment

When assigning the roof surfaces with the Roof Assistant, various settings can still be made:

Template file: In the first line you set which file should be used to populate the roof surfaces. If you have already set the template files in the roof surface configurations beforehand, select the option 'from roof surface' here. In this case, each roof surface can be assigned a different file in one pass. Alternatively, you can also select a specific template file in this field. Then all roof surfaces that you later select for assignment will be populated with this file. The name of this template file will then also be entered automatically in the roof surface configuration. For the next assignment you can then use the option 'from roof surface' as well.

Replace members: In this field you can set whether existing members (rafters, purlins, etc.) should be deleted before assigning the roof surfaces. There are three options for this:

None: With this option no members are deleted. This allows roof surfaces to be assigned multiple times without deleting the members from the previous assignment. For example, rafters for above-roof insulation can be generated without deleting the rafters and purlins at level 0.

All: The 'All' option deletes all members before assignment regardless of how they were created.

From Roof Assistant: This option deletes all members created by the Roof Assistant before assignment. Manually entered members remain intact.

Storey for porch rafters, blind rafters, clamps: All storeys of the current position are shown here. If you have no walls, there is only the option 'building outline'. This option is required for positioning the porch rafters, blind rafters and clamps.

Which member types should be calculated: With the checkboxes you specify which member types should be calculated by the Roof Assistant. Since the Roof Assistant can also be used for multiple purposes, you can use different settings for the various member types.

All roof surfaces: All roof surfaces of the current building are selected and assigned.

Building contour: All roof surfaces of the subsequently selected building contours are assigned.

Roof surfaces: Afterwards, the desired roof surfaces can be selected individually. Multiple surfaces can also be assigned simultaneously.
