Placing Windows
After selecting the wall and setting all properties of the opening, the opening is placed in the wall:
Distance: The opening is positioned in the wall at a distance from a reference point. In the “Distance” function, the distance measured is between the reference point and the edge of the opening.
Center: The opening is positioned in the wall at a distance from a reference point. In the “Center” function, the distance measured is between the reference point and the center point of the opening.
Next, the reference point for the longitudinal position of the opening in the wall is determined. This reference point may be chosen arbitrarily and does not need to lie within the current wall. The opening is then displayed from the reference point in the direction of the selection point. The distance is requested, showing the maximum values for the distance and the positive direction. The opening is shifted by the entered distance. Finally, depending on the settings, the opening direction and hinge side are displayed and requested graphically.
If a combined element has been selected in the subsystem dialog box, one or more additional dialog boxes may open in which the settings for the combined elements are specified.
