Roof Windows - Input

The function provides the option to freely enter all values for the installation of a roof window. However, the values can also be taken from the database or from a profile.

Profile selection: The list contains all profile positions that belong to the roof surface. If a profile position is selected here, all data are taken from the profile. If no identification number for the window was used when entering the profile, the width of the window must still be entered.

Ident number: The identification number of a roof window can be entered in this field or, using the button, selected from the master database. The window data will then be taken from the database.

Create window as component: Here it is specified whether the interior lining and the window should be created as components.

Length: The length of the window frame is measured in the direction of the rafters.

Width: The width of the window frame is measured parallel to the X axis of the roof surface.

Offset to installation batten: The value indicates the distance between the lower edge of the window frame and the upper edge of the installation batten. A positive value shifts the window frame into the roof surface. A negative value shifts the window frame out of the roof surface.

Clearance around the window frame: The opening in the tile and batten layers is larger than the window frame by this value.

lateral projection dimension: The two lateral parts of the interior lining are tilted by this value.

Interior lining: One of the previously created settings for the interior lining is selected in this list. Using the button, you can navigate to the dialog box for creating the settings.

Trimmer: One of the previously created settings for the trimmers and filler battens is selected in this list. Using the button, you can navigate to the dialog box for creating the settings.

Thickness to top of installation batten: The distance from the top edge of layer zero to the top edge of the installation batten is entered here. If the roof surface has a build-up, this value is automatically entered into the field.

Positioning: Here you set how the roof window should be positioned in height. If there are no battens on the roof, only the options 'Interior lining' and 'free' are available. If battens are present on the roof, the option 'Battening' is additionally available.

Distance window frame - last batten: The value indicates the distance from the lower edge of the window frame to the nearest batten. The value can only be used when the 'Battening' option has been chosen for positioning.

Distance in plan: Here the distance from the inside of the interior lining to the selected line is entered. If the 'Battening' option was chosen for positioning, this field becomes a list. All possible values are available for selection in the list.

Distance in height: Here the vertical distance of the upper part of the interior lining is specified. The value refers to the global XoY plane. If the 'Battening' option was chosen for positioning, this field becomes a list. All possible values are available for selection in the list.
