Trim Roof Surfaces

This function allows two roof surfaces to be trimmed at a shared intersection line. This function cannot be used to cut openings out of a roof surface. It has been optimized to join two roof surfaces along a line as quickly and easily as possible. Especially when entering Free Roof Surfaces, it can happen that two roof surfaces that are supposed to end at a common line (e.g., ridge or hip line) do not precisely meet on a single line due to unfavorable input values. In such cases, they can be quickly trimmed to the actual intersection line using this function.

After invoking the function, select the two roof surfaces to be joined. The program then computes the actual common intersection line and displays it as a green line.

The program then prompts you to optionally select the edges of the two roof surfaces that should be completely deleted. The edges that were connected to the deleted edges are extended so that they terminate at the new intersection line.
