Roof Design

The roof design functions allow you to deform or move the lines and points of roof surfaces. This enables arbitrary deformation of roof surfaces that were created by roof outlining or by free roof surfaces.

If a deformed roof is recalculated, various outcomes may occur. Typically, a roof is recalculated because roof attributes (roof pitch, roof overhang, eave height) have been modified. These changes produce different shapes for one or more roof surfaces. If a roof surface changes shape due to these attribute modifications, it will lose the deformation applied by the roof design functions. However, if the shape of a roof surface does not change as a result of the recalculation, it will retain the additional deformation introduced by the roof design functions.
