solid lines
In the graphic representation, some lines are emphasized by a greater line weight; these lines are called solid lines. This is used, for example, at section edges of components in sectional views. For solid lines the line weight can now be set to the value "FROM LAYER solid line". This causes the line weight to be taken from the layer and then increased by a factor. Thus, if the layer's line weight is changed, the line weights of the normal lines and those of the solid lines change by a correspondingly greater amount.
The factor is set in 1-7-2 screen elements in the parameter Solid Line Weight Factor set. The default value for the factor is 1.40; if the normal lines have a line weight of, for example, 0.35 mm, then the solid lines will be approximately 0.50 mm. The factor can be changed at any time to, for example, emphasize the difference.
