Single-line Text

The single-line text has some peculiarities compared to the multi-line text. It is intended to allow single-line labels, which occur very frequently on drawings (e.g., on bars), to be entered as quickly as possible:

  • The program remembers the last entered text. If the function is called again, the last text appears in the text input line.

  • When the dialog box opens, the fields for the 'text style name', the 'rotation angle' and the toggle for the snap function are skipped. We assume that the formatting will remain the same in most cases. The cursor is placed directly in the text input line so that the next text can be entered immediately.

  • With the 'Enable snap function' switch you can turn the snap function on and off for positioning the text line. This makes it especially quick to place leader-style labels.

For a description of the configuration options and switches, see 'Multi-line Text'.
