Cut
Using the "Cut (Clipboard)" function, any drawing elements within a view window can be cut out and moved to the clipboard. Cutting means that the selected elements disappear from the view window. No copy of the elements is created; they then exist exclusively in the clipboard.
The contents of the clipboard can then be pasted into another view window on the same or a different drawing. Other programs cannot use these data.
All selection functions are available for selecting drawing elements (lines, dimension chains, texts, etc.).
Copy
Using the "Copy (Clipboard)" function, any drawing elements of a view window can be copied to the clipboard. Here, copying means that the selected elements will subsequently exist both in the view window and in the clipboard.
The contents of the clipboard can then be pasted into another view window on the same or a different drawing. Other programs cannot use these data. This makes it very easy to copy drawings or parts of them from one drawing to another.

Copy selection
Using the "Copy selection (Clipboard)" function, any drawing elements of a view window can be copied to the clipboard. Here, copying means that the selected elements will subsequently exist both in the view window and in the clipboard. The difference to the "Copy" function is that a frame is automatically drawn without having to invoke the "Window" or "Crossing" functions. This frame trims out the elements that lie within it from the view window. Lines, circles or arcs that lie partially outside the frame are cut at the frame. Dimension chains, elevation markers and angles that lie partially outside the frame are not copied, since these elements only make sense when taken as a whole.
The contents of the clipboard can then be pasted into another view window on the same or a different drawing. Other programs cannot use these data. This makes it very easy to copy details from drawings from one drawing to another, or to paste them into the same drawing in another view window with a different scale.
Paste
Using the "Paste (Clipboard)" function, drawing elements that were moved or copied to the clipboard via the "Cut", "Copy" or "Copy selection" functions can be pasted back into a view window. The procedure is the same as for the "Import - DXF" function. The only difference is that no file needs to be selected; you are taken directly to the dialog box where you can toggle layers and make other settings.
