Stretch
During stretching, all plan objects (lines, circles, circular arcs, dimension chains, elevation points, angles, texts) can be selected. The selection mode 'Crossing' must be used for this purpose. Therefore this mode is automatically and permanently preset and no other selection mode can be chosen.
The endpoints of the same objects that lie outside the frame retain their position and are not altered. As a result, the objects change their geometry, except when all endpoints of an object are selected.
After selecting the objects (more precisely, after selecting the points), a base point is chosen. After selecting the base point, the crosshair can be moved with the mouse. For verification, a rubber-band line is drawn between the base point and the cursor. When the crosshair is moved, all selected points move accordingly. This means that objects that were fully selected are simply translated, while objects that were only partially selected are stretched accordingly.
This function is useful, for example, when one wants to enlarge a drawing (e.g., a floor plan) in only one direction. If one wanted to enlarge the drawing uniformly in all directions, the 'Scale' function would be more appropriate. When enlarging in one direction, some objects (e.g., several walls) are intended to be moved. The remaining lines that connect to the moved lines should be extended accordingly.
