Where can I find the download?

You can find the link to the download page in the update email that was sent in November of the previous year. This email also contains the license ticket codes and additional information.

Can Dietrich's also be installed on macOS?

Dietrich's can be installed on computers with at least Windows 10. A macOS installation is not available. If Windows is used on Apple devices through a virtual machine, Dietrich's may not work or may only have limited functionality.

System Requirements

What hardware requirements does Dietrich's have?

A list of system requirements can be found in the installation guide starting from chapter 5.

Chapter 5.1 also contains configuration examples.

Which graphics card driver is recommended for Dietrich's?

It is recommended to install the latest graphics card drivers. Depending on the graphics card manufacturer, you can access a driver overview on the respective website. Enter your graphics card model designation and receive a selection of possible drivers. Standard drivers are recommended; beta test drivers should be avoided if possible. Note: The Windows Device Manager does not show the current driver status and is therefore not very reliable.

What types of licenses are available?

The Dietrich's license is available as a USB dongle and as a software license, called a D-Code Act.

Can Dietrich's be used on multiple computers?

Dietrich's can be installed on any number of computers. The license is the limitation. Only with a valid license can you save and create outputs.

How can I activate my license?

In the Dietrich's project management, the license ticket can be activated under 5-5-1.

Can the license be used on another computer?

Yes, the dongle can be plugged into another computer. For predecessor dongles, the license must still be activated using a license ticket code. Current dongles only need to be plugged in and selected for work. D-Code Act licenses must be returned in project management via 5-5-5. Only then can they be reactivated with the same license ticket code.

Where can I find the license ticket code?

The license ticket code can be found in the email for the annual update or in a separate email for D-Code Act license delivery. If nothing can be found in the email inbox, it may be that the spam filter is blocking certain emails.

How do I select the license for work?

In project management, the license can be selected for work via 5-5-3.

Why does it say "Demo Version" in project management?

The license may not be activated, the dongle may not be plugged in, or the demo license may be selected for work.

The license has expired, what should I do?

In project management, license updates can be performed via 5-5-4 if an update is available. If this doesn't work, support can help.

For an educational license, please send us the current school certificate with the license number and a request for extension to [email protected].

I received my educational license, but the license ticket code is displayed as "Not valid"?

If the license has already been activated on another computer, it must first be returned there via project management using function 5-5-5 before the license can be reactivated. It may also happen that communication to the Dietrich's license server is blocked in the current network. It can help to connect to the internet via a different network to activate the license.

Can I use my master student license on another computer?

A master student license is a D-Code Act software license. For this to be activated on another computer, the D-Code Act license must be returned in project management via 5-5-5. Only then can it be reactivated with the same license ticket code, including on another computer.

I want to expand my license with a module. Who can I contact?

For license expansion or questions about existing licenses, your responsible field service representative is available.

How can I identify the installed program version?

The version is displayed in the program's window title. Alternatively, you can find the exact version via Help -> Info.
