TFC - Element Joints

The "element joints" function allows walls to be divided into multiple elements. This is particularly useful for very long walls that cannot be manufactured or transported as a single piece. The elements can then be placed individually on the plan and handed over individually to a production line. When calculating the centroids of walls, a separate centroid is also calculated for each element. The components entered within the elements belong both to the individual element and to the parent (segmented) wall.

The "add element joint" function is used to enter new element joints. To do this, select the wall you wish to segment and then specify a prefix for the element numbers. Each element receives a unique number that begins with the letter entered here (e.g., W1, W2, etc.). Then specify the point at which the wall is to be "separated." This can be done repeatedly for a single wall.

The "move element joint" function allows an element joint to be repositioned afterwards. Select the joint to be moved and then enter the distance for the displacement.

The "delete element joint" function removes an element joint by simply clicking the red joint line.
