Roof Determination - House Sides
Roof entries - House side
Using the 'House side' function, you select one or more house sides with the mouse and then set the roof attributes (profile values) in a dialog box:
Side no.: The numbers of the selected sides are displayed.
referenced side: A house side can reference any other house side. You only need to enter the number of the house side to which the current house side should refer. If the referenced side is parallel and runs in the same direction, the house side automatically receives the same roof pitch and the same roof-surface specification. These fields are then locked and can only be changed again after the referenced side number has been deleted. The eave height is automatically adjusted to the eave height of the referenced side.
If the referenced side is not parallel or does not run in the same direction, the house side automatically receives a roof pitch of 90°. The fields for roof-surface specification, roof pitch and eave height are locked.
Profile position: A profile can be applied to each house side. Profiles can be selected by entering the position number. Using the button at the right edge of the field, you can choose profiles from a list with preview, modify them or create new profiles.
When you select a profile position, the roof pitch, roof overhang, eave height and specification are taken from the profile. These fields are therefore locked and only released again after the position number has been deleted.
Implementation: Here you can select the roof-surface specification.
Roof pitch: Enter the roof pitch. Using the button at the right edge of the field, the roof pitch can be entered by a plan distance and a height.
Roof overhang: Enter the roof overhang on this house side.
Eave height: Enter the eave height. An 'eave height' can also be entered on a gable side (roof pitch = 90°). If you also assign a specification to this house side, the vertical layer panels are generated from this 'eave height'. This allows you to obtain the measurement areas on a gable side.
Roof breaks:
Using the 'Roof breaks >>' button you can expand the dialog box to enter roof breaks. Up to nine bends can be defined by a plan dimension or a bend height and a roof pitch. Each roof surface created by a roof bend can have its own specification.
Below the input table there are two auxiliary functions with which you can determine the height of the roof bend.
Roof entries - All house sides
Using the 'All house sides' function, you can assign the same roof attributes to all house sides with a single command. The settings are the same as in the 'Roof entries - House side' function.
