Plan and Image Storage
Orthophotos can be stored with a variety of different plans and thus fill the plan with additional information.
Plan Storage Current Display
Modellbereich DICAM
In the DICAM Free Construction (Global System) model area, we use the display circuit to display the images of the wall construction, the floor plans, the roof and the current ones, as well as the other working levels. We have the wall bodies displayed as components and rotate the view into the desired perspective. We turn off the display of the point cloud.
Customize the display circuit—floors on, walls in, and images of building elements and work levels.
The orthophotos from the different model areas with their different colors are now clearly visible.
We save this view as a 3D view.
9-7 "3D View" > New
Name "Walls with orthophotos" – tick all 5 top boxes and create with OK
The orthophotos are thus stored on the plan via the current display.
The orthophotos are inserted into the plan as independent graphics windows and are also stored in the plan repository. By using a 3D view, plan dynamics can be used. (Without components, however, there is no storage). The visible images are stored on the plan, the settings of the plan storage do not influence this, or indirectly via the linked 3D view.
1-01-6 "Storage of current representation"
Select 3D view and activate plan dynamics and store plan with "Ok"
Notes on the plan from "Plan storage current representation: For the calculation of the plan scale, only the components (in this case the wall bodies) are taken into account. If the image section of the 3D view is not used, the plan may be too close to the wall bodies and the orthophotos may only be visible when cut.
To display the complete images in the drawing, the 7-1 "Properties" function can be used in the diagram to adjust the scale of the viewport more appropriately. In most cases, the cutout must then be pushed so that the plan tray appears centered in the plan. This works via 7-4 "slide cutout".
Plan filing floor plan / basic view
For the floor plan storage, the check mark for "Drawing elements" must be set in order to store the orthophotos on the plan.
Plan File Wall Plan
The wall plan also has the option of drawing elements, which the orthophoto also places on the plan.
Flat storage roof
Analogously, the roof cladding plan and rafter and purlin plan have the option "Drawing elements" for filing the orthophoto.
Plan Storage Views / Sections
As with basic views, the setting and display of the view or section determines what is stored on the plan.
Image storage from the OpenGL workspace
In the DICAM Free Design (Global System) model area, we turn on the display of the point cloud. To create an image with textured parts and the point cloud, we'll add parts from the library.
There is a sample staircase in the project. We switch to the global system in the DICAM so that the staircase can be read in the correct orientation. If the model is aligned with the origin described above, the library element can be inserted with origin on origin.
Model area DICAM
Set to global system
1-5-1 "Library - Select Treppe_DG in the path of the sample project
Read -> Position
Key 3 for entering coordinates - coordinates 0; 0; 0 confirm
When reading in, place the exit to OK of the stairs
With the middle mouse button we open the help menu and select the lowest function "OpenGl Workspace"
9-5-1 Start OpenGL workspace if it is not currently started
Connect or show a point cloud
Middle Mouse Button -> OpenGL Workspace
In the next dialog the function "Storage whole image"
Specify the name and factor 3 or 4 for the resolution factor
Next to the factor, the new size of the image appears. A result of 4000 x XXXX pixels gives a very good result, but also a relatively large file. A result of this is assigned as a sample image for the project, which can be inserted on plans as desired.
