Create Working Environment

A new workspace can be created in various ways. One method is to go to the path selection at the top right of the data exchange dialog box and create a new directory there. This directory is the new workspace (currently, of course, empty) and the name of the directory is the name of the workspace. Into this empty directory, settings can be copied using the Save Workspace function. Via this approach, workspaces can be created at any location on the hard drive (or network).

The simpler and faster method is via the "New Workspace" icon. This function again opens the same dialog box as the Save Workspace function. This time, however, the topmost line is editable. There you enter the name of the new workspace. This new workspace is always automatically saved in the main directory for workspaces.

Using the switches in front of the working layers, you can specify which working layers should be saved in the new workspace.

As soon as you click Save, all configuration files from the current system that you previously selected using the switches are saved into the workspace. The dialog box closes and the new workspace is automatically displayed on the right side of the data exchange dialog box.
