Create Radius Dimension
Radius Dimension - Properties
The radius dimension measures the radius of arcs and circles.
The radius dimension consists of an arrow with a dimension text and, if applicable, a cross at the center of the circle/arc. The radius dimension has the following properties:
In the dimension style and via the Modify dialog box, it can be set whether the dimension line is only as long as required for the dimension text including prefix and suffix, or whether it ends at the center point of the circle/arc. In the latter case, the center point receives a cross made of two lines. The setting is implicitly controlled by the line length for the cross. With a line length of 0.000 no cross is created and the dimension line is only as long as necessary for the dimension text.
The dimension line extends at most from the center of the circle/arc to the arc or circle; it is not extended beyond the center point.
If the dimension line is too short for the arrow and the dimension text including prefix and suffix, the dimension line is automatically reversed, so the arrow then points from the outside toward the circle/arc. The dimension line is lengthened so that the dimension text including prefix and suffix fits on the line. If a cross is to be created, the dimension line is extended beyond the tip of the arrow far enough to end at the center of the circle/arc. Otherwise it ends (coming from the outside) at the circle/arc.
The dimension text is always readable from below or from the right and is always positioned on the dimension line.
On the right side the space on the inside of the circle is too small:

Radius Dimension - Creation
To create the radius dimension, select the circle or circular arc to be dimensioned. The dimension arrow is created immediately and can be rotated graphically to the desired position. The manner in which the dimension arrow is created (length, with/without center cross) has already been defined in the dimension style.
