Modify Elevation Mark

The "Modify (Elevation Marker)" function allows you to change all settings of an elevation marker. In the upper area of the dialog box you have the same configuration options as in the dialog box for dimension styles. This makes it possible to assign a single elevation marker a different setting than defined in the dimension style. In the topmost drop-down list you can also directly select a different dimension style.

In the lower area of the dialog box there are settings that only arise when creating elevation markers. Therefore they are not related to the dimension style. The following settings can be changed there:

Layer: This displays the layer to which the elevation marker(s) belong. By changing the layer, the selected elevation marker(s) are assigned to the new layer.

Elevation marker was created: The program can distinguish whether an elevation marker originated from a storage of the design program or was entered manually in the plan program. This information is used when inserting another storage into the same view window. With the program version "Plan Program" you can set whether the contents of the view window should be completely deleted before insertion, only the elements from one storage, or nothing at all. This can be manipulated by changing the assignment of individual elements here.

Show triangle: There are two representation styles for the triangle on the elevation marker:

unfilled: The triangle consists only of the enclosing lines. (e.g., finished elevations)

filled: The triangle is filled with the color of the elevation marker. (e.g., shell elevations)

Show dimension guideline: When the dimension guideline is displayed, a dashed line is drawn from the dimensioned point to the tip of the triangle.

Additional text below the elevation marker: Any additional text can be entered below the upper horizontal line of the elevation marker (on which the elevation value is placed) or the existing text can be modified. The upper line automatically extends so far that the additional text remains completely beneath the line.

To modify elevation markers, you may select any number of elevation markers at once. When multiple elevation markers are selected, it can quickly happen that some of the markers have different settings for one or more options. Since the program can only display one setting per option, three asterisks (***) appear in the affected field. This immediately indicates that the selected elevation markers have different settings in this field. As long as you do not change the setting in such a field, the individual elevation markers retain their respective settings. However, once you change the setting, all selected elevation markers receive the new setting.
