Groups and Layers

What is the difference between group and layer?

In the building, there are MOS for groups. These are usually automatically assigned to components, depending on the layer in which they are entered. For example, if a component is entered in layer 0, it automatically belongs to group 0. Through this group assignment, you can quickly turn components on or off and filter them.

A layer is a construction tool and defines a volume area or a layer on/in which components are automatically cut and defined. Additionally, a layer serves for area determination for measurements.

What MOS groups are there?

The MOS groups run from group -20 upwards to group 20. There are a total of 40 groups. The automatic group assignment of components follows a fixed scheme. The MOS groups organization is located in free construction under "MOS 6 – 6 Group".

How do you change the building MOS assignment?

MOS management is located in free construction under "MOS 6 – 4 Building MOS".

Components can be selected/activated here and assigned to another MOS. The process is completed with Ok. Another way to assign components to another MOS is through building navigation. By clicking on the building element, the selected component can be added.
