Visualize Drillings
For the visualization and depiction of drillings there are various options:
Dashed lines: The drillings are always represented by a dashed line. This can be enabled or disabled in the display settings in the group 'Information, Construction representation'.
Volume: The drilling can be represented as a volume. In the wireframe model this representation cannot be distinguished from a real opening, but it saves a lot of memory compared to a cut-through drilling and thus reduces computation time for machining calculations.
Cut-through drilling: A cut-through drilling creates an actual hole in the component. This representation is the most realistic, but requires the most memory and increases computation time for machining calculations. As soon as steel plates or integral connectors with many drillings in the connector and the wooden components are used, the number of drillings increases massively. For cut-through drillings this can increase computation time by many minutes.
In the function 'Machining - Control - Visualize drillings' you can set the diameters and specify whether the drilling should be represented as a volume or as a cut-through drilling.
