Component Functions
Components - Delete slabs
This function deletes slabs only; bars are ignored.
Components - Merge slabs
The "Components - Merge slabs" function merges pairs of slabs. The method used produces a slab shaped as if an elastic band had been stretched around the view of the two original slabs; concave corners are therefore lost, but the slabs may have any distance from each other (for example, air gaps). The slab edges (narrow faces) are then perpendicular to the ceiling view.
Prerequisite for merging: same level, identical number, thickness, and geometric position in the Y-direction of the slab.
Components - Move
With "Move" any number and combination of bar and slab components can be selected using the crosshair. The right mouse button ends the selection and the base point for the displacement is requested. After choosing the base point, the target point can be specified. The principle of the displacement is that the selected base point is placed at the chosen target point. If multiple components were selected, their relative distances and positions to each other are preserved at the target point. After choosing the target point a dialog box appears showing the relative distance between the base and target points. Here it is possible to correct the displacement in all three axes of the global coordinate system, including vertical displacement.
All familiar graphical and temporary auxiliary functions are available for defining the base point and target point.
Components - Align
With the "Align" function components can be aligned to any line. The selected component is rotated so that it lies parallel to the chosen line and can then be translated parallel to it.
After selecting the function you are prompted to choose the component to be aligned. Only one component can be selected at a time. Then you select the line to which the component shall be aligned. The component is immediately shown in the new position and you are prompted to enter an offset. The positive slide direction is indicated by an arrow.
Components - Cross-section change
In the "Cross-section change" function any number of bars with the same cross-section can be selected with the crosshair. The right mouse button ends the selection. In the final dialog box the new cross-section height and/or width can be specified and the position of the component fixed with respect to the previous cross-section. This function allows existing components to be replaced quickly and easily.
