General on Element Numbering
The process for changing and reassigning element numbers has been clarified. First, two buttons provide distinct next steps:
Button 1: Reassign element number and sequence
First, which prefix, type, and starting number the elements should receive is specified.
The setting most frequently used in the current building element (e.g., wall) is offered.
Elements can then be selected in their order. All receive the new prefix and type. The first receives the specified starting number, and the others are incremented.
At each step, any existing unique or sortable element numbers of other elements are adjusted as necessary.
Button 2: Change element numbers for a single element
First, the element to be changed is selected.
Its current settings for prefix, type, and number are presented and can be adjusted.

The formatting of element numbers has been expanded:
The number of digits for the number can be specified. The count is kept consistent with leading zeros. This yields the desired order even with alphanumeric sorting:
