Open Source Tools

Since Dietrich’s only supports .E57, these open-source tools help review and optimize scans:

1. CloudCompare (Download)

  • View, clean, and analyze .E57 files.

  • Remove noise, downsample, or crop unnecessary data.

2. MeshLab (Download)

  • Supports .E57 via plugins.

  • Useful for mesh conversion if further processing is needed.
