Roof Cover Plan - Dimensioning
Dimension house edge: This dimension chain is generated only when the entire roof is shown in a single drawing. The dimension chain measures the length of the exterior walls or contour lines.
Dimension eave and verge lengths in plan: This dimension chain is generated only when the entire roof is shown in a single drawing. The dimension chain measures the length of the eave and verge lines.
Dimension roof overhang: This dimension chain is generated only when the entire roof is displayed in a drawing. It dimensions the roof overhang at each building edge.
Reference line for building edge dimensioning: For the dimensioning, a reference line can be specified. Options are the exterior wall edge, the reference axis, or the building outline, whereby the exterior wall edge and the reference axis are available only when a floor plan is displayed in the plan.
Dimension style: Here you can select the dimension style with which the dimension chains should be generated in the plan. If no dimension style is selected here, the dimension style from the plan template will be used.
Dimensioning factor: With the dimensioning factor you can influence the distances of the dimension chains. The entered value is only a factor by which the standard distances are multiplied. As a rule, even with a factor of 1 (no effect) dimension chains do not overlap. For aesthetic reasons, some users prefer larger distances. In this case increase the factor slightly (e.g. to 1.5).
