Bei Elementen ist das nicht möglich, da sich das Element ändern kann, ohne dass sich die Laufnummer seiner Bauteile ändert, z.B. wenn ein Bauteil lediglich verschoben wird. Auf der anderen Seite würde ein Sortieren der Elemente nach jeder Änderung zu Performanceproblemen führen. Daher muss die Sortierung der Elemente gegebenenfalls manuell ausgelöst werden. Die Sortierung der Elemente kann in jedem Modellbereich mit der Funktion 1-8-6 Elementsortierung aufgerufen werden. Entsprechend dem Hinweis im folgenden Dialog werden immer alle Elemente aller Modellbereiche sortiert. Das ist unabhängig davon in welchem Modellbereich man sich befindet. Wird die Sortierung der Bauteile manuell oder automatisch ausgeführt, so wird auch zwingend eine Sortierung der Elemente ausgelöst. Dabei erscheint der Hinweisdialog nicht.
