# Alignments

Non-symmetrical bars and profile bars are generated by the HRB module in a specific orientation. That means the start of the bar is not arbitrary; rather, these bars have a defined orientation depending on their position and location within the wall. The reason for this lies in the orientation of profiled components. These can only be entered correctly if the orientation of the bars follows the table below. Therefore, the program automatically generates the bars and profile bars in this orientation.

In version 19.02 the orientation of inclined bars and profile bars at openings (lintel rails) was changed. Previously, for a pointed window the left rail had been generated from left to right and the right rail from right to left. Now all bars at inclined opening edges are generated from left to right.

| Post type                                     | Orientation        |
| --------------------------------------------- | ------------------ |
| Threshold | from left to right |
| Sill plate | from left to right |
| Parapet rail | from left to right |
| Lintel rail | from left to right |
| Inclined lintel rail (all!) | from left to right |
| Post left wall end | from bottom to top |
| Post right wall end | from bottom to top |
| Window post left (to the right of the window) | from bottom to top |
| Window post right (to the left of the window) | from top to bottom |

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.dietrichs.com/dietrichs-intelligent-documentation/docs-de-en/holzrahmenbau-kompendium/prinzipien-des-hrb-systems/hrb-regelungen/ausrichtungen.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.
