# Managing Sills and Plates

To cover the many different situations, some thresholds and rails must be created. To maintain clarity, since version 22.01 the order of thresholds and rails can be changed so that, for example, all thresholds that pertain to the ground floor are grouped together.

* To change the order, simply drag the threshold or rail in the tree to the new position while holding the left mouse button.

* The thresholds and rails are renumbered; typically several components will therefore receive a new number.
* In the lower and upper connections, the thresholds and rails are reorganized in the references. This preserves the correct selection for a connection even if the order changes.
* All wall ends and T-joints include entries for the thresholds and rails. These are also reorganized so that the components appear at the new position while retaining their original values.

* When thresholds or rails are deleted from the tree, the affected lower and upper connections as well as the wall ends and T-joints are likewise reorganized.
* The numbering of thresholds and rails has been supplemented and standardized:

* In the tree the number is now shown before each threshold and rail. This makes it easier to locate the affected component.

The numbering in the lower and upper connections now begins at 1. This aligns it with the numbers in the tree and in the dialogs for wall ends and T-joints.
