D-Cloud

The D-Cloud is the central online platform for storing, managing, and sharing 3D models and project-related files from the Dietrich’s software environment. It enables users to securely store projects in the D-Cloud, organize them, and access them at any time from any device.

Sign in to Dietrich’s Online

Access via the Dietrich’s software

• In the Project Management and in the Dietrich’s programs, the “Sign in” button is located at the top right.

• After signing in, the username is displayed there. Using the “Dietrich’s Online” menu item you can go directly to the D-Cloud.

Registration

1. After clicking “Sign in,” the sign-in dialog opens in the web browser.

2. A new account can be created there.

3. After registration you will receive a verification link by email that must be confirmed to activate the account.

First start of the D-Cloud

After successful sign-in you will be forwarded to the homepage.

• Since no 3D Web-Viewer positions are available yet, the project overview is initially empty.

• On the homepage there is a short introduction video that explains the upload process.

User information

At the bottom left you will find:

• the email address of the active account

• below that the company license and the available storage space

3D Web-Viewer positions in the D-Cloud, unlike files previously stored temporarily, have no automatic expiration. They remain stored permanently as long as sufficient storage space is available in the account.

Once the total allocated storage of a company license is exhausted, no further data can be uploaded. In this case it is the user’s responsibility to delete files or entire projects that are no longer needed to free up storage space again.

Account settings

By clicking the email address you access the settings of your Dietrich’s account. The following can be changed here:

• Email address

• Name

• Password

Additional functions:

• Manage categories: Frequently used categories can be saved and easily selected later for files.

• Delete account: When the account is deleted, all projects are removed irreversibly.

Team settings (administrator)

The first user of a company license is automatically an administrator. Administrators can:

• view all team members

• appoint additional administrators

• remove users from the team

Upload 3D Web-Viewer files

The upload is performed in DICAM via:

1 File → 05 Export → 04 3D Web-Viewer Export

There the following can be selected:

• Local storage

• Storage in the D-Cloud

Notes:

• The dialog automatically responds to license status and sign-in.

• Upload to the D-Cloud is only possible with a subscription license.

• After the upload the project appears in the D-Cloud project management (refresh the page with F5 if necessary).

Online projects

Contents in the project

After an upload the project contains:

• the 3D Web-Viewer position

• scenes created, if applicable

• additional uploaded files

  • Other formats are:

    • PDF files

    • Word files

    • Excel files

    • Text files

    • Images

Please note that in the first version of Dietrich’s Online only the user who uploaded a 3D Web-Viewer position has access to it. Direct project or position sharing with other team members within the cloud is currently not possible.

Access by additional persons is possible exclusively via the share link. By sharing this link, both internal team members and external project participants can view and use the corresponding 3D Web-Viewer position.

Tab “Files”

• All project files are listed.

• Cloud-Viewer positions can be opened by clicking the name.

• Icons on the right enable:

• Download

• Delete

• Copy share link

• Change project name

Project image & sharing

Top left:

• Set project image

• If no custom image is provided, the preview image of the first scene is used.

Bottom left:

• Regenerate share link (invalidates previous shares)

• Delete project
