# Extension of the Display Mode

To selectively show and hide drawing elements from other floor plan views or from the floor plan within a base view, there are two entries for this purpose in the display toggle.

Using the checkbox and the input field "Base.", base views or the drawing elements of the floor plan can be displayed in the current base view. The same applies to the display of base views in the model area "Floor plan".

First, the checkbox is enabled. Then you can open the dialog "Base views for displaying plane elements" by clicking the "Change settings" button. In this dialog, activate the base views that should be displayed. The activated base views are also shown as a comma-separated list in the preceding text field for informational purposes.

The same methodology is applied to the display toggle for base views from other storeys. For this purpose, the list of storeys ("other storeys, base views") has been expanded using the system described above.

Note that to display drawing elements from other base views, the checkboxes for "Lines, circles, hatches, .." and, if applicable, "Dimensioning, texts, .." must also be enabled. Likewise, the corresponding layers must be set to visible in the layer toggle.

There is a practical tip on displaying 2D objects from base views in other base views of the same storey and in other storeys on our [elearning platform](https://dietrichs-learn.com/content/info/3666?vc_cik=952177-FeAMP-Riv6W-y0XPs\&vc_lpid=3666).
