# Fastener volume

{% embed url="<https://youtu.be/QAy2Y6pKUOc>" %}

Fasteners are attached to components as a machining operation. If an identifier number referencing a library element is assigned to the "machining operation", the fastener can be represented as a solid body. Fasteners are depicted as dashed lines, which can be toggled on and off in the display configuration via the "Components" group.

Using the function "Machining Operations - Control - Fastener Volume" library elements can be generated. Since this should not be done for all fasteners in some cases, it can be made conditional based on the diameter.
