# Roof Components - Recalculate Rafters The "Rafter - Recalculate" function re-executes on the rafter all calculations that were performed when the rafter was originally generated. All edits to the bar ends and the notches are regenerated, substitutions are recalculated, and the rafter joints and infill battens with their connection processing are recreated. After selecting the function, you can choose whether to recalculate all roof surfaces, all roof surfaces of a building contour, or individual roof surfaces. If you choose to recalculate the roof surfaces of a building contour, select the desired building contour thereafter.
