Rotate and pan view
Rotating the view
In model areas where a 3D view is available, you can rotate your design on the screen at any time. There are several methods for doing this:
Using the function "Views, Sections - Views - Arbitrary" you can freely rotate the design. However, because this requires invoking a function from the menu or the icon bar, it cannot be performed from within another function.
You can also rotate the view at any time by holding down the Shift key on the keyboard while simultaneously holding the middle mouse button. This is possible both from within another function and outside any other function. If you change the mouse behavior in the display settings from 'Standard' to 'Classic', you must use the left mouse button instead of the middle mouse button.
Setting the rotation point
When rotating the view, the program automatically rotates around the center of visible objects (bars, plates, lines, circles, dimension chains, ...). If you want to rotate around a different point, you can call up the context menu with the right mouse button and use the 'Rotation point' function there to set an alternative rotation point.
If you then want to switch back to the center, call the 'Rotation point' function again, but do not select a point; instead terminate the function without selecting a point by using the right mouse button. The program will then restore the functionality to the automatically determined center.
