Zooming, Panning, Rotating

Zoom
Rotate with mouse wheel
The object is zoomed in or pushed away. Under 1-7-2 screen elements it can be configured whether the object or the viewer moves. The default is movement of the object: If the mouse wheel is scrolled backward, the object moves toward the viewer.


Magnifier +
Click with the mouse button - draw a rectangle for the desired area - click with the mouse button Default: Middle mouse button (mouse wheel) Alternative: Ctrl + Left mouse button The selected area is zoomed to fill the graphics area as much as possible.


Magnifier -
Click with the mouse button Default: Shift + Middle mouse button (mouse wheel) Alternative: Ctrl + Right mouse button Each click returns to the previous magnification level until everything is displayed again in the graphics area (Refresh global, Zoom all).


Pan view
Press the mouse button - move the mouse until the desired position is reached - release the mouse button Default: Middle mouse button (mouse wheel) Alternative: Ctrl + Left mouse button


Rotate, rotate view
Press the mouse button - move the mouse until the desired orientation is reached - release the mouse button Default: Shift + Middle mouse button (mouse wheel) Alternative: Ctrl + Shift + Left mouse button


Refresh global, Zoom all
Double-click with the mouse button Default: Middle mouse button (mouse wheel) Alternative: Ctrl + Right mouse button


Refresh selection, Zoom to selected objects
Click with the mouse button Default: Ctrl + Middle mouse button (mouse wheel) Alternative: Ctrl + Shift + Right mouse button
Selection functions

Single selection
Select a single object Click with the left mouse button on the highlighted object.
To deselect individual objects, combine the input with Shift.

Selection - Line
Select objects that are crossed by the line Click with the left mouse button - draw the line for the selection - click with the left mouse button
To deselect with a line, combine the input with Shift.

Selection - Crossing
Press the mouse button - move the mouse until the desired selection window is reached - release the mouse button Selection window from right to left: Crossing. Selects objects that lie wholly or partially within the selection window.
To deselect, combine the input with Shift.

Selection – Windowr
Press the mouse button - move the mouse until the desired selection window is reached - release the mouse button Selection window from left to right: Window. Selects objects that lie entirely within the selection window.
To deselect, combine the input with Shift.

Polygonal crossing
Ctrl + Shift + click with the mouse button - click for each additional polygon point - right-click ends polygon input. Selection polygon counterclockwise: Crossing. Selects objects that lie wholly or partially within the selection polygon.

Polygonal window
Ctrl + Shift + click with the mouse button - click for each additional polygon point - right-click ends polygon input. Selection polygon clockwise: Window. Selects objects that lie entirely within the selection polygon.


Deselect all
Gesture: Press the right mouse button - move the mouse to the left - release the mouse button Alternative: ESC key
Context menu, Base menu, Control menu

Context menu on object
Click with the right mouse button on the highlighted object.
If objects are already selected, the context menu for the selected objects is opened. The merely highlighted object is not added to the selection.

Base menu
Click with the right mouse button on empty space.
If objects are already selected, the context menu for the selected objects is opened. The base menu cannot then be opened.


Control menu
Gesture: Press the right mouse button - move the mouse to the right - release the mouse button
Alternative: Shift + right-click
The control menu can be opened at any time, even if objects are already selected.

List of recent commands
Gesture: Press the right mouse button - move the mouse down - release the mouse button
Alternative: Spacebar or Down Arrow key
The list of recently used commands can be opened at any time, even if objects are already selected.
Alternative: Plus key invokes the most recently used command without the list.
