# Create Arc Dimension

## Arc Dimension - Properties

Arc dimensioning measures the length of circular arcs. This dimension has the following properties:

* The dimension line always receives an arrow at both ends.
* An arc symbol (∩) is automatically inserted before the dimension value as an identifier.
* For arc dimensioning, prefixes (before the arc symbol) and suffixes (after the dimension value) are also taken into account.
* The extensions of the extension lines beyond the dimension line (arc) and the distances to the end points of the dimensioned arcs are identical to the extensions used for chained dimensions. Therefore, there are long and short extension lines.
* The dimension line can be freely shifted to either side of the arc (perpendicular to the arc) during entry.
* The dimension text is always readable from below or from the right and is placed on the dimension line in the same manner as for chained dimensions.

* The dimension text can, as with chained dimensions, be freely moved.

## Arc Dimension - Creation

To create an arc dimension, simply select a circular arc. The dimension arrow is generated immediately and can then be freely moved with the mouse. The dimension line may be located either outside or inside the arc.

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.dietrichs.com/dietrichs-intelligent-documentation/docs-de-en/2d-auxiliary-geometry/bemassungen/bogenbemassung/bogenbemassung-erzeugen.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.
