# Windows XP - zakończenia wsparcia technicznego
W dniu 8 kwietnia 2014 r. firma Microsoft oficjalnie ogłosiła zakończenia wsparcia technicznego dla system operacyjnego Windows XP. Konsekwencją tej decyzji, producenci sprzętu i oprogramowania zostali zmuszenie do zarzucenia swojej aktywności na platformie Windows XP.\
Dlatego program Dietrich's 3D CAD/CAM począwszy od wersji v 16.x nie można instalować na komputerach z systemem operacyjnym Windows XP.
Komputery z systemem Windows XP mogą być nadal wykorzystywane pomimo zakończenia świadczenia pomocy technicznej ze strony Microsoft, lecz należy liczyć się ze zwiększonym zagrożeniem i podatnością na ataki hakerskie oraz złośliwe oprogramowanie (wirusy). Na takich komputerach można zainstalować Dietrich's 3D CAD/CAM w wersji v 15.x lub niższej.
