# Settings - Selection

If one clicks the selection list (Settings selection), a dialog box opens rather than a drop-down list.

In the left area of the dialog box one selects the desired setting. This is done by selecting and closing the dialog box with 'Ok' or more easily by double-clicking the setting.

For improved clarity, this list may also contain groups that can be opened by clicking the plus sign. How to create such groups yourself is described in the chapter Groups.

Additionally, a setting can contain a comment, which is then displayed below the list, and an auxiliary image. This auxiliary image then appears in the right part of the dialog box if the 'Image' switch has been pressed. If there is no auxiliary image or the 'Parameters' switch has been pressed, the parameters of the setting are shown.
