# Zapfen - Anwendung
## Anwendung von Zapfen
Das klassische Anwendungsgebiet von Zapfen ist die Übertragung von Querkräften. Zur Kraftübertragung wird die Zapfenauflagerfläche herangezogen. Im Zapfen entstehen dadurch Spannungen, Querzug und Pressung.

## Zapfenbemessung als Zapfen
Wenn Druckkräfte vorliegen und die Neigung der Stäbe untereinander zwischen 70° und 90° beträgt, werden diese Druckkräfte über die Flanken des Zapfens per Pressung nachgewiesen. Lediglich die Querkräfte werden über den Zapfen abgetragen.
## Zapfenbemessung als Versatz
Für kleinere Neigungen als 70° werden Zapfen grundsätzlich als Versatz bemessen. In diesem Fall werden Druckkräfte und Querkräfte über die Zapfenstirn wie beim Versatz abgetragen.
Diese Regelung gilt auch für Versatz mit Zapfen.
